Recruitment

Congratulations.  You just took the first step to joining Sigma Nu and fulfilling a lifelong commitment to Love, Truth, and Honor.  Gathering information and learning about the entire process before you decide to join is not only wise, but puts you ahead of the game.  Joining a fraternity can be intimidating and the rush process sometimes confusing.  Don’t worry, we’ve all been in your exact position at some point, and we made it. So can you.  Check out our Rush Timeline page to learn how the rush process works.

We’ve put together this section to announce rush events, important dates, and to keep you informed like no one else has before.  Check this page weekly for updates and to find out new events Sigma Nu will be hosting. Our Rush Chairman Christopher Glass is here to answer any and all questions or concerns you may have.
Anyone on the officers page will also be available to answer questions.

We try to keep rush at Sigma Nu as simple as possible.  Rather than portray something we are not during rush week, we’d prefer you to get a glimpse of how fraternity life really is the other 51 weeks a year.  Most events will be held at our house, 401 Progress Street, where we invite you to come hang out and be one of the guys for the day.  We are one of the oldest fraternities on campus, and have been in our house longer than any other fraternity on campus, since the early 1950’s, and we’re very proud of that.  Feel free to come out for an afternoon and take a tour. During rush, typical activities include cookouts, volleyball, soccer, and tailgating at football games.  Events change every year, so check the event calendar to see what’s planned for the current semester.

Sigma Nu may be one of the oldest continuous fraternities on campus (we’re one of the few who have never lost our original charter) but in order to keep that tradition alive, we need to recruit men we can count on for years to come and who will take as much pride in their University and this organization as we do. Men of class, integrity, respect, and honor. If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, we invite you to become something more, become a Sigma Nu.
